Pardon? There was no hate, I was simply expressing my own opinion?
No need to get defensive, I understand if there are others out there who ship them, I simply don’t because it doesn’t seem plausible to me, given how they are portrayed, what their personalities are like, and the fact that Sherlock is already married to his work.
Hate is completely different, hate is an illogical spewing of anger over something and directing it at other people, without being backed by facts and doing it in a way that is both abrasive and crass. I did no such thing, I simply expressed my own opinion on the subject which I am entirely allowed. If you don’t agree with me -which clearly you don’t- then perhaps its best to write up your own thoughts on the subject rather than attack me.
I intended no harm, I simply was bothered by the constant Johnlock material that filters through when I look up the Sherlock tag, and figured I’d post my thoughts on the subject since it seems to be all over the fandom for whatever reason ^^ Not to mention the fact that it seems that no shows can have two males with a close loving bond, without “fans” turning it into a gay relationship. It just bothers me because its not what the writers intended, and it just seems so much more meaningful when two people can have that bond without it being romantic.
This goes for Merlin, Supernatural, and Sherlock. Three of my favourite shows, and I simply got fed up and decided to post my opinion to see if anyone else agreed. Really though, there was no hate, you must have just misunderstood ^^

I just can’t support it XD
I mean gosh, its Merlin x Arthur all over again. Are guys not allowed to have brotherly and close relationships with other guys? Just because they share a flat and have deep feelings for each other….doesn’t mean they are obligated to screw each other. Good gravy people! I mean…. the moments between John and Sherlock get me squirmy inside sure! But not because I think they’re “meant to be” romantically, but because they have such a tight bond and so much love between them. NOT romantic love, BROTHERLY love. I ship it only if its shippable, and I really don’t see it. If they wrote the two of them as two gay guys drooling over each other… it would ruin the show. Why? Simple. All the moments between them would just be….wrong.
I can imagine it now:
John: Oh Sherlock, for pities sake, stop documenting various forms of blood spatter and come kiss me!
Sherlock: Is that all you ever think of? Good Lord it must be dull inside your head, so…animalistic, how do you function?
It would turn this brilliantly emotive show into an amusing comedy, a farce. I agree it would be funny to do a short special with something like this….maybe, though I don’t think I’d watch it as I like my perception of two guys who can love each other so deeply as brothers, but really….it just….wouldn’t work. He’s far too…Sherlock for that.

OUAT - Killian Jones
I just recently decided that I don’t care if no one reads my posts, I’m freaking gonna write them anyways to get them off my chest!
So, Captain Hook…gosh, the feels I have for this dude are just….beyond words. Colin Donaghue brings him to life in ways I’d never have thought possible. Yeah yeah, I know, he’s everyone’s new favourite character. Mainly because he’s hot as can be and completely worthy of maximum droolage. BUT, that is not my main reason for adoring him.
Killian is just….well rounded in general <3 His actions and dialogue are brilliantly crafted, his backstory is brilliant, and he has flaws that make him achingly real. Add to that the fact that he is neither a villain or a hero, but rather a man with a singular goal who will take the easiest route to accomplish it….and you can’t help but love him. He’s such a breath of fresh air from the typical heroic characters, the singularly evil villains, or the good-to evil converts.
Now, the above certainly have a place in literature and movies but….after a while they get boring. OUAT requires them -obviously- since it is a show about static characters with previously created personalities, thus allowing them marginal room for growth and change within those created characters. Hook though, was always a bit of an unknown, and they way they have tweaked him to add some spice to the show…well, suffice to say I have an intense craving to meet and converse with the scriptwriters!
Oh, and I also want to mention I’m a diehard Captain Swan shipper. They are my OTP and I love them with every fiber of my being. I’ll probably get into that in a different post. For now I’m tired and hyperactive due to the possibility of going to see the Hobbit lol.
